
Goodfellas (1990) is a biographical crime drama directed by Martin Scorsese, adapted from Nicholas Pileggi's nonfiction book *Wiseguy* . Ray Liotta stars as real-life Mafia associate Henry Hill, chronicling his rise and fall within New York's Lucchese crime family from 1955 to 1980, alongside Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci . The film received six Academy Award nominations, with Pesci winning Best Supporting Actor, and was selected for the National Film Registry in 2000.
