Today marks exactly one year since I launched samiharaketi.com. Looking back, I barely recognize where I started.

Twelve months ago, this website was empty. No visitors. No expectation that anyone would ever read what I was writing. It was just a blank canvas and a decision to show up every single day.

I am writing this to celebrate that decision. Not because I have "made it" or because I have cracked some secret formula. I am writing this because I want to remind myself, and anyone else who needs to hear it, that consistency beats everything.

What I Have Built in One Year

Let me give you the numbers first. They are not the most important thing, but they tell a story worth sharing.

Over 200 articles published. That is roughly four articles per week, every week, for 52 weeks. Some weeks I published more. Some weeks I published less. But I never stopped.

These articles cover a wide range of topics. Web design, graphic design, technology, artificial intelligence, product reviews, cinema, books, history, and politics. I have reviewed tools like Nicepage, Webflow, Hostinger, and multiple CMS platforms. I have written about filmmaking, storytelling, and the creative process. I have explored historical events and political ideas that interest me.

A screenplay library with a huge variety of movie scripts, available for anyone to study and learn from.

Tens of website templates created and shared for free.

My full professional portfolio spanning years of work in design, web design, books, films, and videos.

And the traffic. I went from zero views to thousands and thousands of views on a monthly basis.

Let me repeat that part. Thousands of monthly views. With no promotion. No ads. No paid campaigns. No influencer shoutouts. Just writing, publishing, and trusting the process.

How I Did It

People ask me how I grew the site so quickly. They expect some kind of growth hacking secret or a clever trick. I always tell them the same thing. There is no secret. I just did the work.

When I started, no one was reading. I would publish an article, share it on my personal social media, and maybe get a handful of views from friends and family. Sometimes I would get zero comments. Sometimes I would wonder if anyone had even clicked the link.

But I kept writing.

I kept writing because I realized something important. I was not writing for an audience. I was writing for myself. Every article I published was a chance to learn something new, to clarify my thinking, to explore a topic I was passionate about. The act of writing itself was the reward.

This mindset changed everything. When you write for yourself, you never run out of motivation. You never feel disappointed by low views. You never get discouraged by silence. You just keep going because the process is fulfilling.

And slowly, almost imperceptibly, people started to notice.

What I Wrote About

The range of topics on samiharaketi.com reflects my genuine curiosity as a person. I do not limit myself to one niche because I am not a one dimensional person.

I wrote extensively about web design and technology. Reviews of website builders, comparisons of CMS platforms, guides to SEO and performance optimization. These articles helped people make informed decisions about their own websites.

I wrote about artificial intelligence. The rise of AI website builders, the impact of generative AI on creative work, the ethical questions surrounding AI. These are some of my most read articles.

I wrote about cinema. My screenplay library is one of the most popular sections of the site. Filmmakers and writers use it to study structure and dialogue. I also wrote about filmmaking techniques, the 48 Hour Film Project, and the creative process behind making movies.

I wrote about books. What I was reading, what I was learning, what I thought about the ideas in the pages.

I wrote about history and politics. Not because I want to be controversial, but because I believe understanding the past helps us navigate the present.

I wrote about design. My portfolio is a record of years of creative work. I shared templates, case studies, and design principles.

Every article came from a place of genuine interest. That is the only rule I followed.

Why This Matters

Writing and publishing over 200 articles in one year is not easy. It requires discipline, patience, and a willingness to work without immediate reward. But it is achievable.

If you are reading this and you have been thinking about starting a blog, a newsletter, a YouTube channel, or any creative project, let this be your sign to begin.

Start today. Publish something imperfect. Do it again tomorrow. And the day after that. Keep going even when no one is watching.

Because here is the truth that I have learned. The audience does not show up first. The audience shows up after you have shown up for long enough. After you have proven that you are serious. After you have built something worth paying attention to.

I went from zero to thousands of monthly views. That is not a boast. That is evidence that consistent, honest work pays off.
